It sounds like he’s bulimic, which is when you puke after meals to lose weight faster. Unfortunately the stomach acids will wear down all the tissue it hits when it comes up. Just walk in on him when he sounds like he’s puking. Then see where it goes from there
I’m sure there’s counseling out there, or maybe you could stage an intervention or some sort? (I’ve never had an eating disorder this close to home before, but I still want to help you out!)
But I think that above all, let your brother know that you and your mom love and care about him. That you don’t want to see him in such an unhealthy state, and that you want to help.
He sounds bulimic to me. And it sounds like he needs a intervention and your mom needs to WAKE THE HELL UP!!!! Because if not you and your mom are liable to lose your brother and her son.
It sounds like he may be bulimic, but it may be something else. Has he always been this skinny? Or is seeing his ribs something new?
If he’s always been very skinny, don’t worry, some people just have weird metabolisms that make them capable of eating anything and everything without gaining a pound. For them, seeing their ribs is normal and your brother’s weight and height is pretty healthy. However, if he hasn’t always been this skinny, something’s wrong. It may be bulimia, or some other gastrointestinal disorder, but whatever it is needs to be checked out by a doctor.

Yes it sounds like he has bulimia. Tell your mother to get a grip and get him help!
