that would either be anorexia purging type or ed-nos depending on your bmi and if your periods are gone.
here are the criteria for anorexia:
good luck with recovery.
it’s definitely worth it.
it would be bulimia if you binge ate and then purged at least twice a week for three months. it doesn’t matter if you purge, that doesn’t make you bulimic. it’s the amount of food you ate before you purged and how often it happened. many anorexics purge the little amount of food they do eat.
If you were only restricting your calories, it would be anorexia, but because you make yourself vomit it is bulimia. I wish you’d get help sweetheart because no one needs to suffer like that. Hugs.
it’s called bulimorexia.
i’m not making this up, it is a certified disease. it is a disorder in which the patient restricts calories, but also purges. sort of a mix, i guess.
i’m glad that you’re going into treatment for it that’s really inspiring it shows that maybe i’ll find the strength to, as well!
i think its bulima..because you “eat” but throw it up..anorexia is when someone starves them selfs to loose weight..dosnt eat anything. hopefully you can get help and loose weight a healthier way
Anorexia is more of a mental illness. You perceive yourself as being fat when you weigh 90 pounds. Bulimia is when you make yourself throw up after eating. Bulimia is your disorder and you should know that already if you are going into treatment. They can’t treat you without knowing what you got.
it sounds like a little bit of both disorders. typically bulimia is the disorder of binging and purging and anorexia is starving yourself. however in many cases people who have one of these eating disorders had or still has the other. restricting what you eat is neither anorexia or bulimia but if you restrict in extreme ways it is still an eating disorder
