In fact it is wrong. Anorexia and Bulimia existed for longer than “mass media” im not an expert on the subject but i know princess sisi of austria was anorexic for example. They’re mental diseases and the media may be a trigger but not a reason. So it only holds a tiny role…
And saying “go to a third world country etc” to an anorexic is absolutly useless and pointless.Never forget that we SUFFER with eds…Its not fun,it’s not a “new fashion” or wtvr damn it!!!
How true this is. I had bullemia a few years back, and it really does become a sick obsession that controls all aspects of your life. I am glad I was able to get better and I wish that no girl/boy had to suffer from an eating disorder
Third world countries don’t suffer from Anorexia. Anorexia is a created disease because of magazines like Cosmopolitan and basically any tv show placing such a heavy emphasis on looks. I bet Anorexia didn’t even exist before mass media. Back then everyone was just worried about….surviving. Now survival is a goddamn afterthought. Don’t worry, psychiatrists and drugs will fix everything. (BLATANT SARCASM) Go to a third world country and see how long you’ll be Anorexic for. Exactly.
I have recovered from anorexia, i was very close to death, it was hard but the only person who can make anyone better is yourself. and it starts with the decision to make a change. I never set out to become anorexic and it was not the real me doing all these horrible things to myself, but I discovered I was the only one able to claim control back, it was f***ing horrible and hard and took years but I am now happy, healthy and free and this is possible for anyone.
Wow. You are an inconsiderate Fuckface!
How can you sit there and say something like that. There are obviously people still struggling with the desease that look at this and your gonna be so rude to say that! I hope one day you get a disorder of some sort and someone make such an unneccesary remark as you did and you know just how much it hurts!
